English Language and Linguistics Minor

This minor requires you to complete 15 credit hours of English and linguistics. Courses emphasize the English language; however, other languages and language processes are covered primarily from a linguistics perspective. The nine credits that are mandatory deal with introductory aspects of language and cover different core areas of the English language and language in general.

Requirements

The following two courses are required (6 credit hours):

LING 3360 - Language and Linguistics
LING 3362 - Patterns of English

Please Note: up to 6 credit hours of Language and Linguistics core courses may be double-counted (i.e. they may be applied to both the Language and Linguistics minor and a major or another minor).
